Daytona 🙂 Hey buddy! We hope your ankle is doing good! So how was your first flight? Fantastic? We are all doing good here. Brady got to play his first game tonite and did awesome…his big brother taught him well, his tournament is this weekend. Dad said he knows you worked hard today but he poured 80 yards of concrete (yes … you know the conversation … ha ha) We miss you, love you and are proud of you. No regrets! ♥ ♥ ♥ Your family.

Dayton – The Scripture passage that comes to my mind for you at such a time as this “when you are weak, He can be strong” — even though you are not 100% physically right now with your ankle – God supplies even though we are weak. You are so used to always being strong – but it is more than okay to allow God to supply when we have lack. Am also certain that you are having a ball and helping others have a great time too. Believing in you! – Pastor Jim

    • Dayton says:

Thanks pastor Maness for keeping us in your prayers! Wears all doing great except we have to keep a sharp eye on that Micah kid! God has blessed us so much down here and it is awesome the things that he does through us.

Oh my buddy T.T. how is it today? Stucco huh? I’m sure you were very well behaved with that 🙂 I know it is hard to get to the computer so no worries, I’ve been looking at some of the other kids’ pages too to see what you’ve all been up to. I know you spent time in the orphanage tonite. Oh buddy…my heart is heavy for you, I bet these little ones are so precious. I’m sure you are having a ball with all of the kids, what a joy huh? I keep thinking we should have packed more candy! We are all doing great here. I told Rusty too, but Dad says he love, love loooovvess you, Eliza & Carly are taking over the basement, Briddel says he hit 3 triples in practice tonite (he wanted me to make sure he told you — shoot that is wrong he says 5 🙂 ) Anyways he misses you fellas too! Me?…well you know I well up with many tears throughout the day only because I am so blessed to have 4 awesome kids. I love you to pieces and i miss texting you & Rusty during the day! ♥♥♥ Earl sends his licks to you as well. Enjoy your time!

Dayton…praying for you and Russell, such an awe-inspiring trip you are on. I know you are enjoying the kids down there, you are great with kids, and seem to really enjoy teaching them and playing sports and such with them. Pray that you are having a great experience, and return home safely.

  17. Jim Crawley says:

Hey Dayton…hope all is going well! Can’t imagine what you might have looked like after the stucco finished. Did you have enough on you to cover a house, or did you help others look like that? I know that you must be having a great time. People can feel the strength of our faith and your love of life shows through in all you do. Enjoy the medical clinics and get ready for the powerful feeling during the Jesus Film. Take care!

  18. Russ & Vicki Wierenga says:

Dayton — how is my little pookie bear? I miss saying that to you 🙂 I’m sure you are having an experience of a lifetime, I am sooooo glad you & Russell wanted to do this trip. I do wish I could have a little camera though to watch you kiddos! I hope you took some pictures or at least have Nikki or Alex take some of you fellas — you want to be able to remember all of it! Brady won his ball game last night and he did really good! You could see his pearly white smile from the bleachers when he was way out on the field — so stinking cute! He plays today at noon to go on to the championship game, so we will see how it all turns out (he is soooo nervous)! Enjoy the time that you have left on the trip, make the most of every moment. I love you forever pookie. ♥♥♥ your family

P.S. — sounds like Alex is not feeling well yet. Give her some extra loving for us! See you soon!

  19. Russ & Vicki Wierenga says:

Dayton!! I had a few giggles about you today. I kept thinking how on Mother’s day everytime I asked you to do something, all I heard was that it was really “Sonday” and that it was about my sons…so I was waiting all day to hear on Father’s day you telling dad that it was “Sonday” again. 😉 I miss your jokes buster! I am so proud of you and Russ Bus – I am hoping you boys wrote things down so that you will be able to remember everything, I am soooo eager to hear everything. I love you forever, and hope the rest of your trip is fantastic! kiss, kiss, kiss! ♥

Hi Dayton. It sounds like you guys are doing amazing things over there. Everyone here is sooo proud of all you are doing. You are changing Lives for eternity and I bet you’ll be changed after this experience too. We missed your great coaching ability at Macer this weekend. No trophies this year. We did have some crummy weather though, so you didn’t miss much. You’re in our prayers. Kim, Jeff and Josh Dunn

Good morning everyone – The Lord is blessing the Allendale area with a much needed storm, rain, wind, thunder and lightening. Awesome!! Thinking and praying for all of you on your last day in paradise. So proud of everyone for taking God’s leading and sharing the love of Christ with so many wonderful and beautiful people in Guatemala. Thank you all for sharing little bits and pieces of your adventure. You have been such a blessing to all of us back in the states. The world has been a better place because of your trip, due to all of us praying for you and your trip. So many more prayers have been prayed in the last week than usual. Praise the Lord! Enjoy your day shopping and relaxing with friends and family. Hugs to you all! Can’t wait to hear all about your trip when you get home. Safety, health and love to you all! Be sure to keep your hearts and minds open to what God has in store for you all in many different ways. Heaven must be celebrating about all of the new followers from Guatemala. Thank you for your role in their new lives with Christ. We will continue to pray for Nancy that God will soften her heart and have the opportunity to welcome her into His mighty fold someday. Bless you all in mighty ways!!
